Know What to Expect — No Surprises
We believe in being upfront and honest about the cost of care. If you’re paying out of pocket or not using insurance, you have the right to get a Good Faith Estimate — a clear breakdown of what your treatment might cost before you get started.
What’s a Good Faith Estimate?
It’s just what it sounds like: an estimate of what your care will cost based on the services we expect to provide. This includes things like:
- Your first visit or consultation with Dr. Justin Swanson
- Chiropractic adjustments
- Acupuncture treatments
- Any follow-up treatments we recommend
- Additional therapies or services that may be part of your care plan
We’re here to make sure you feel confident and informed about your care — no hidden fees or surprise bills.
Who Can Get a Good Faith Estimate?
You can request a Good Faith Estimate if you:
- Don’t have health insurance
- Have insurance but choose not to use it for these services
- Are receiving services that aren’t covered by your insurance
- Are an out-of-network patient
When Will I Get It?
If you book your appointment at least 3 business days in advance, we’ll send you a written estimate:
- Within 1 business day if your appointment is 3–9 days away
- Within 3 business days if your appointment is 10+ days away
And if you ever want an estimate before scheduling, just ask — we’re happy to provide one anytime.
What If the Final Cost Is More?
If your final bill is more than $400 above the estimate, you have the right to dispute it. There’s a simple process you can follow to challenge the charges if something doesn’t seem right.
To dispute a bill:
- You must file your dispute within 120 days of the date on your bill
- You’ll need your Good Faith Estimate and final bill
- Contact the federal dispute resolution process at 1-800-985-3059
- Visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises for more information

Your estimate is personalized. We’ll base it on your specific health needs and the care plan we develop together. Everyone’s treatment is different, so your estimate will be too.
Keep your estimate safe. You may need it later if you have questions about your bill or need to dispute charges.
Estimates don’t include unexpected services. If something changes during your care — like we discover an issue that needs immediate attention — we’ll always talk to you first before providing additional services.
Insurance patients: If you’re using insurance, your out-of-pocket costs will depend on your specific benefits, deductibles, and copayments. We’re happy to help you understand your coverage.
